It was 1881 on the fall day of September in Maryland. Kimberly Cranston stood on the stool her head held high with a loose on her neck. She looked out at the crowd, her eyes fell upon her late husband's mother Mary Cranston she then looked at her daughters that laid in Mary Cranston's arms. " Kimberly Cranston, you are accused of being a witch. How do you plead? " The judge said. " Guilty. " Kimberly said. " Then you are sentenced to death do you have any final words? " The judge asked. " Yes, to my daughters Beatrice and Kelly. My daughters I love you, and from now until my ancestor and my William's ancestor can be untied in love you shall love no man as deeply. And to you Mary Cranston, I bind you from saying anything of a wicked tongue to my daughters and I curse you to die before your son can grow to understand your evil. " The sound of a latch being pulled and a sickening thud sound was heard.
Brilla William sat looking over her spell book. A woman of 55 years she a blond hair and brown eyes. Across the table sat her twin sister Kara William. Brilla felt a chill run through the house. " Did you feel that? " Brilla asked not looking up from her book. " Yes, I did. " Kara said. " Why don't we invite Kimberly and Bonnie for a visit? See how much they remember from their childhood. " Brilla commented. " That sounds nice. Let's do. " Kara said standing a heading towards the door.
Kimberly Hart sat in her bedroom with Billy Cranston sitting next to her studying Chemistry. " Give it up Billy. I'm never gonna get this! " She cried. " Calm down, your gonna pass this with flying colors. Have I ever lied to you Pookey? " Billy asked with a smile. " No, I hate that nickname Pookey. How did I get it, I don't remember. " Kim said laughing. Billy only called her Pookey when she was sad or needed to laugh but now it was becoming more common between the two. " Remember, you were named after Garfield's toy teddy bear. " Billy said. Kim snickered.
Then her phone rang, " Hello? Hey Aunt Brill. Yes. Really? I would love to. Bonnie? I haven't seen Bonnie since she moved to Paris with mom. Okay, in one week, love you too Auntie. Bye. " She said hanging up. " Who was it? " Asked Billy. " It was the aunts. They want Bonnie and I to come up to Bollowson this week. Their sending me the money and Bonnie already said she would be there. Oh Billy I can't wait to see her. " Kim hugged Billy and got a stranger sensation. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, _ It's nothing. You're just excited. _ Kim thought.
A week later Kim looked up at the old, white Victorian style house. It was two stories with a huge attic. She remembered spending summers there when she was little. The aunts were said to be witches and if so she was one too. She remembered back to the summer of 1987...
" Come on Bonnie, we're not allowed up here. The aunts said so. " Kimberly said following her younger sister up the stairs to the attic. " Oh stop being a sissy. Aren't you even curious what's up here? " Bonnie asked. " No. " Kim answered flatly. " Calm down. Shhh, they're up here. " Bonnie said putting her finger to her lips. Kim peeked over the edge of the stairs to see her aunts surrounded by candles chanting. " Come in girls. It took you long enough. " Their Aunt Brilla said. She stood up and looked at Bonnie and Kim. Bonnie's dark hair fell in front of her eyes, Brilla laughed as Bonnie pushed it out of the way. Brilla came over to Bonnie and took her by the hand and led her to the circle. Kimberly looked at her Aunt Kara. Kara held her hand out gracefully and spoke softly, " Come her my little crane. " Kim ran over to her and whispered in Kara ear, " Teach me magic Auntie. " " Of course child, but first you I have a story to tell you. " Kara said sitting the child on her knee.
_ That's how I learn to use my magic. _ Kim thought. She walked up to the door and before she could open it her aunts busted out. " Kimmie! " her Aunt Brilla said hugging her. " Hi Aunt Brilla. " Kim said hugging her back. " Come here let me see what two summers of no magic has done to you. " her Aunt Kara said. " Well you don't remember everything but enough now come here and give me a hug. " Kim embraced her aunt then heard, " What is this a private party? " " It wasn't till you came. " Kim turned to see her dark hared sister, Bonnie. Kim rushed to hug her. Bonnie was just as Kim remembered her. The dark hair, burning blue eyes, and the wild clothes. While Kim was only mostly sexual with her clothes, Bonnie was all-sexual. That day she was wearing a pair of cut of shorts up to her butt and a size to small mid-drift that missed showing her breast by an inch. She wore her hair down and wore a pair of blue tinted sunglasses. " Hi Aunties. " Bonnie said hugging both Brilla and Kara. " Come in, come in. " Brilla said ushering the sisters in.
{So are you having fun?} Billy asked over the phone. {Yeah. I forgot how much fun I had when I was here. So has you know who showed herself?} Kim asked. {No, but we're on our guard and don't worry we'll contact you the minute she does but you have fun, oh and Kim.} Billy said.
{Yeah?} She asked. {Practice safe magic, practice practical magic.} He said. She was shocked, {You knew?} {Yeah, hey you're talking to me Pookey. Your best friend, how wouldn't I notice that anytime you drink coffee and make yourself that the spoon spins itself.} He said. {Okay. I promise, catch ya on the flip.} Kim said with a smile. {Catch ya.} Billy said hanging up the phone. " Who was that dear? " Kim's Aunt Brilla asked. " That was my Billy. He's my best friend. " Kim said sitting down. She looked at a coffee cup and it began to float toward her.
" It's nice to see you practicing again. " Bonnie said walking in. " Does he know what you are? " Aunt Kara said. " Apparently and he doesn't care. " Kim said. " Oh girls do you know what tonight is? " Brilla asked. " No. " Bonnie asked. " It's a full moon, you know what that means. " Brilla answered. " Dancing naked under the moon. " Bonnie squealed. " You know being naked is completely optional. " Brilla smiled.
That night at midnight Brilla and Bonnie were outside dancing naked as Kimberly and Kara were in the green house working with herbs casting spells. " You know what Auntie? " Kim said.
" What's that sweetie? " Kara asked. " This was where I cast my first true spell. It was a true love spell. I wished for guy who was a genius, who had a good heart, who was shy but proud. He was a talented singer and a complete dreamer. He was funny and loved me for who I was and didn't care that I was a witch. Oh and he had to have eyes that were an endless sea of blue eyes. " Kimberly said. " Do you know anyone like that? " Kara said getting the sage. " Not yet or at least I don't think I do. " Kim said leaning on the table. Then the phone rang, " It's for you. " Kara said. " I know, it's Billy. " she picked up the phone, {Hey Pookey.} Kim said.
{How did you know? Wait I don't want to know. Watch ya up to?} Billy said like a child.
{Nothing, dancing naked under the full moon.} Kim answered. {And I'm not there.} Billy pouted. {Next time love.} Kim smiled. She could just see Billy in his lab his blond hair falling in front of his eyes. His head cocked holding the phone with his shoulder while he tinkered with some object. {So why are you calling? I already talked to you today.} Kim asked.
{I just needed to hear your voice. Guess I'll let you go back to your dancing.} Billy said.
{Really, Aunt Brilla and Bonnie are the ones dancing. Aunt Kara and I are casting spells.} Kim said. {Remember practice practical magic.} Billy said. {Catch ya on the flip side Pookey.} He said. {Catch ya.} Kim said hanging up.
" Was it Billy? " Kara asked when Kim came into the green house. " Yeah. What are you doing? " Kim asked. " Making a salad. " Kara answered. Kim laughed then Kara continued, " So tell me about this Billy. " " He's sweet, and super smart. He's really shy but he's funny. He's a dreamer too. " Kim said with a smile. " Does he have blue eyes and is a singer. " Kara said.
" Yeah, oh come on Auntie. Billy is not my true love. " Kim said rolling her eyes but something was tugging at the back of her mind. " He loves you for you and doesn't care about you being a witch. " Kara said. " Whatever, I'm gonna go to bed. " Kim said.
On Tuesday three days since her discussion with her Aunt Kara about Billy being " the one. " She lay in her bed looking at the roof. She thought about Billy. He had called everyday to keep her up to dated on what was going on in Angel Grove. With each phone call her heart raced and after the call she was on cloud nine. She was so happy. She closed her eyes and pictured him sitting at the Juice Bar. Kim walked in the Juice Bar looked around and saw Billy waiting at a table. He stood up, " Hey beautiful. " he said giving her a hug. She felt so conformable, calm, and protected in his arms. " Hey, what's up Pookey? " Kim giggled. " Kim there's something I have to apologize for. " he said in a serious tone. " What, what did you do? You didn't do anything to my dog did you? " she asked. " No I have to apologize for this. " He said kissing her.
Kim woke up when she felt someone scratching her nose. She opened her eyes to see her sister Bonnie. " You shouldn't be dreaming stuff like that. You should be living it. " She whispered. She then put her finger to her lips and pointed for Kim to listen. Kim started to giggle and said, " Midnight Margaritas! " Kim jumped out of her bed and ran down the stairs towards the kitchen with Bonnie on her heels. She could hear the sounds of Three-Dog Night being played. She was met at the bottom of the stairs by her Aunt Kara who gave her a margarita glass complete with umbrella and Brilla gave one to Bonnie. The four began to dance around the kitchen singing to the words of Three Dog Night's JOY TO THE WORLD:

The next morning Kimberly woke up and looked at her clock. _ 11:00 a.m. Oh man. I need some aspirin. _ She thought. She stumbled down to the kitchen. On the counter sat three aspirin with a note. " Here's the aspirin you'll be looking for. Aunt Brilla and Bonnie are in town and I'm in the green house. Love, Aunt Kara. " Kim took the aspirin and changed into a pair of pink shorts and a striped pink shirt. She then went out to the green house.
" Good morrow Auntie. " Kimberly said walking into the green house. " Good morrow Kim. I say that our Kim has not seen her bed tonight. " Kara said. " Funny, oh man Billy's gonna shoot me for this one. " Kim groaned. " His opinion is really important to you isn't it? " Kara asked.
" Yeah it is. " Kim whispered. " Do you love him? " Kara asked. " Yeah, I do. I tried not to. But I do. He's my perfect man. But I'm afraid that if he does love me he loves me because of the spell. " Kim said. " What kind of car does he drive? " Kara asked. " A blue Jeep Wrangler, why? " Kim asked. " Because a blue Jeep Wrangler just pulled up with a strikingly handsome boy in it.
Blond, tall, muscular, a true cutie. " Kara said looking at him, " But he's wearing glasses. " " I like his glasses. " Kim said leaving the green house. " Billy! " she said with excitement and curiosity. " Kim! " he shouted and ran towards her. " Hey Pookey. " Kim said running towards him.
He picked her up and swung her around in his arms. " I had to come see you. " he said putting her down.
Kimberly and Billy sat on the aunt's front porch looking over the garden. Bonnie came up to them in a pair of dazzy dukes and a black baby-tee. " Hi, I'm Bonnie. " she said putting her hand out for Billy to shake. " Billy, nice to meet the girl who was dancing naked under the moon." he smiled. " Don't you have something to do Bonnie? " Kim asked. " Yeah. It's nice to meet you Billy. I hope you can stay. " Bonnie said heading indoors. " So why did you drive all the way here to see me. I'm thinking alternative motives. " Kim said looking at Billy. " You're right. Kim, I have to apologize for something. " He said. " What's that? " she asked remembering her dream. " For this. " He leaned over and brushed her lips with his. She surprised herself when she began to kiss him back. When she looked into his eyes she remember her childhood spell." Eyes like an endless sea of blue. " Kim whispered. " What? " he asked. " You don't love me. I cast a spell when I was about nine that I would meet a guy who was a genius, funny, shy, sweet, talented singer, a dreamer, who would love me for who I am and not care that I'm a witch, and that had eyes of blue like an endless sea. " She said quickly and then sighed. " So what your saying is that I'm under some spell? " Billy shouted. " Please don't be mad at me. I cast spell for the perfect man thinking you didn't exist. But you do. " Kim said near tears. Billy stood up and looked around. " I've got to go. " he said. " Billy! Billy! " She shouted after him. Billy climbed into his jeep and peeled out leaving Kim sitting there crying.
Kara came out of the green house to find Kim crying. " My dear sweet child what's wrong?" she asked. " He hates me. " Kim whispered. " Billy? You told him about the spell didn't you?

Let me tell you a story of a girl from the 1800's named Kimberly Cranston. She was your great great great, well many great's grandmother. She was in love with a man William Cranston. But William suddenly became very sick and died. His mother then found out that Kimberly was a witch and told the town. Just before William died Kimberly found she was going to bare his child, or what would be twin girls. Then when Mary Cranston found this out she told the town's people to spare Kimberly's life until the baby was born. Well she gave birth to twin girls, Beatrice and Kelly. She was then to be hung. Standing on the platform she cursed Mary Cranston and all her daughters, granddaughters, and ancestors that they would die before their son's would grow to know their evil or until the ancestor and William and her were untied. She also put a spell on her daughters that they would never fall as deeply in love till her ancestor and William's were united in love. That's why ever one of her ancestor who were women always had two daughters with names that started with a " B " or a " K " and why you are having such a hard time getting Billy for your own. You have a curse working against you. So fight the curse sweetie. You and Billy love each other. And true love is worth fitting for. " Kara said leaving Kim to her thoughts.

That night Kim stood of the widow's walk of her aunt's house. She whispered, " If his love is true let him come to me. "
The next day Kim sat on her aunt's porch looking out onto the garden watching Bonnie and Brilla plant flowers. Kara also sat on the porch watching her sister and her niece working in the garden. Kim's attention then turned to the road as she heard the song " This Kiss. " she had been singing the day. Then she saw a blue jeep approaching. She stood up as it pulled into the driveway. Billy jumped out. Kim began to run towards him, when he saw her he opened his arms up to her. She ran into them feeling her feet leave the ground. He then raised her chin to look into her eyes, " Spell or no spell, I love you Kimberly Ann Hart. " he kissed her. " I love you too. " she said kissing him back. Kara smiled looking at the two. She then looked at the gazebo and saw the spirits that had haunted the Victorian home. The spirits of Kimberly Ann Cranston and William Arthur Cranston hugging each other and sharing a tender kiss. _ All things are as they should be.
