He'd hit her. Scott couldn't believe he'd done something like that. Sure she had forgiven him saying it was an accident. After all he hadn't know she was behind him when he'd swung his arm back.

However the fact remained he had hit Kat.

That was part of the reason he had left. He realised he couldn't bear to see the bruise that was on her face from where his fist had struck her. So like a thief in the night he had contacted Trey on Triforia and agreed to Trey's proposal. Without a word to any of the other's he had packed some stuff and teleported away from Earth.

Before he had left though he had given up the White Zeo Crystal and asked Zordon to give it to Jason. Zordon told him he would give it to Jason temporarily and then without another word he had left Angel Grove and everything he knew behind.

That was a week ago. He had shunned any attempts of contact from the Ranger's and Kat.

As he looked up into the night sky looking for the star that the planet he called home orbited his thoughts drifted back to how his being on Triforia had happened.

It had all started the evening of his return. The other deciding that the weren't going to leave him on his own on his first night back had brought their sleeping bags and the eight had camped out in the front room including Justin which had surprised Scott. Seeing his surprise Justin told him that since the discovery they were family he had lived in the house.

They had spent the rest of the evening telling Scott about what had happened in their lives while he was away. During the evening he had listened with rapt attention to each of their tales and even more so when it had come to Kat's turn. It was then as he was listening to her he noticed the scar which was just below her chin. At one point he asked her about it and there was a very uncomfortable silence from all the other's. Realising that this was something they obviously did not want to talk about he had dropped the subject

The rest of the night was uneventful except for the surprise arrival of Jason who had dropped by to see the team and when he had heard the news of his return had come to see if it was true. At some point after his arrival Scott must have fallen asleep because the next thing he remembered was waking up to find Kat's face millimetres from his own. His sudden movement had awoken her and she had immediately backed away and fled into the kitchen. Scott was up after her within a second and when he arrived in the kitchen she was stood with her back to the door and he could hear her softly crying.

Scott: Kat I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you.

Kat: It's not that, I don't know why I started to cry, I just didn't want you to see me crying.

Scott: Too late kiddo I've seen it. Now why don't you tell me what's really bothering you.

Kat: I guess it's just having you back after believing you were dead for so long. Every so often I keep telling myself that this isn't a dream and you are really here.

Scott: Well, believe it Kat I am back and this time for good.

To emphasis his point Scott walked up to her and gently spinning her around he kissed her. For what seemed an eternity the kissed lasted and then Scott pulled away.

Scott: So does that feel like a dream.

Kat: No, but if it is I hope I never wake up.

At her last comment Scott smiled and she to smiled and with a quick hug and kiss the two had returned to bed.

The following morning Scott had awoken slightly disoriented and unsure were he was. For a split second he thought he was back in the dungeon and then that vanished and he was back in the living room of his home. Looking around the other's had also awoken and then he smelt it. Standing up he wandered into the kitchen to find Kimberly cooking.

Kim: Morning how did you sleep?

Scott: Okay I guess. What are you doing?

Kim: What does it look like? I thought since this is your first morning back I'd cook you your breakfast. Just don't expect it every morning.

Scott: Of course not. I can make my own breakfast, but thank you anyway.

Kim: So did you and Kat have a nice chat in the middle of the night.

Scott: How did you know about that?

Kim: I woke up and heard you talking. She is just having a hard time accepting your alive, give it time.

Scott: I will give it time, I just think things cannot go back to the way they were.

Billy: After something like this they usually can't.

The two turned to see Billy stood in the doorway his hair a complete mess.

Scott: You know something Billy if I were you I would keep a low profile.

Billy: Why?

Scott: Well, Kat is very annoyed with you about not telling her that I was alive and believe me I would not want to be around when she gets her hands on you.

Billy: Well, I'll stay out of her way.

Kat: Whose way?

The three turned to see Kat stood in the doorway.

Billy: Err nothing Kat.

Kat: Scott, Kim can you give me a minute alone with Billy.

Kim: Sure.

Kim walked past the two and Scott followed and as he did he whispered into Billy's ear.

Scott: Scream if you need help.

Billy gave a faint smile and then as he heard the door closing he turned around.

Billy: So what did you want to talk to me about Kat?

Kat: You know very well what I want to talk to you about.

Billy: Scott and why I didn't tell you he was alive.

Kat: Yes. Billy you knew how I felt about Scott. How could you put me through all this emotional upheaval that I've gone through. Instead I find that he was alive and well and back for a month and you didn't tell me.

Billy: Kat I wanted to tell you that he was alive, but Zordon felt it was in his and your best interest that you not know he was alive until he had his memory back.

Kat: You should have told me Billy.

Billy: I'm sorry but I promised Zordon and I wasn't going to betray his trust by breaking that promise. If I have ended our friendship Kat then I'm sorry.

Kat continued to look at him and then she spoke.

Kat: Our friendship isn't at an end Billy. You did what you had to do to protect Scott and the rest of us.

The girl reached over and drew Billy into a hug that he returned. Then there was a knock at the door and Scott and Kim poked their heads around the door.

Scott: Is it safe to come in or have we got to the throwing stage.

Billy: Don't worry there is not going to be any bloodshed.

Kim: That's good do you know how hard it is to get blood out of a carpet.

Kat chuckled and so did the other two. Just then they were interrupted by Justin walking into the kitchen.

Justin: Now that we've all finished making up and can we please eat breakfast.

Tommy: Careful or you'll turn into another Rocky.

The other's all laughed and then joined their young friend in eating breakfast. The group continued to talk until Adam glanced at his watch.

Adam: Guys we should get moving or we're going to be late for classes.

Tommy: I guess we can't not go.

Scott: You're not missing out on your education even for one day on account of me. Now go to College.

Tommy glanced at Kat and then the two suddenly jumped to their feet and saluted and spoke.

Both: Yes sir.

With that the seven were out of the door. As she reached the door Kat turned back and walked over to Scott and gave him a quick kiss.

Kat: Are you going to be okay on your own?

Scott: I'll be fine and besides Jason is here to keep me company and I've got thing's to do today anyway.

Kat: So what you going to do?

Scott: I'm going to teleport to Paris and see my Sister and Aunt and then to Seattle to see my other Sister and then back here.

Kat: Well, have fun Scott.

Scott: I will.

Kat gave him a second kiss and then to Jason.

Kat: Now you keep him out of trouble Jason.

Jason: Yes Miss Hillard.

She smiled and with that she was gone.

Scott: I am perfectly capable of keeping myself out of trouble. I don't need a baby-sitter.

Jason: Fine if you don't want me around I can go.

Jason stood up and walked towards the door.

Scott: Jason wait.

Jason paused as his hand came down on the handle.

Scott: I'm sorry I guess I've just been on my own for so long now I feel like you're being left here to look after me.

Jason: You should know I'm your friend and all of us are only looking out for your best interests.

Scott: I know I guess it's just going to take some time.

Jason: So what's first on the agenda.

Scott: To Paris to see my little Sister and Aunt.

Jason: Does Zordon know you're using the teleporter for personal business.

Scott: Yeah. He said under the circumstance's he would bend the rules.

Jason: Do you want my company?

Scott: I would appreciate it Jason. Now you'd better grab onto me so we can teleport.

Jason: No need I've got my own. I don't know why I have it with me though.

Scott glanced over to see Jason holding a communicator in his hand.

Scott: Let's go.

With that they were gone and on their way to Paris. High above them on the moon Zedd and Mondo watched the two teleport away.

Zedd: So the White Ranger and the former Gold Ranger are off to Paris. Well, they shall receive a very big surprise when they get there.

Mondo: Indeed. Rito take the Cogs and get down there.

With that Rito was gone and so were the Cogs. Meanwhile in a small house in Paris the sister of the newest member of the Rangers is preparing for school. Again she scowls as she places her books in her bag when she hears a bang at the door. She walks towards the stairs and then hears her Aunt open it and then she screams and faints. Concerned the girl is down the steps two at a time and then she is beside her Aunt and looking up she feels her own legs become weak and she slumps to the floor.

Scott: Hello little Sister.

A few seconds later Kim's Mom comes around and look's across at Melissa.

Mrs. Hart: Melissa I think I'm going mad I thought I saw your Brother.

Scott: You weren't seeing things Aunt Karen I'm really here.

Melissa: Well, don't just stand in the doorway why don't you and your friend come in and explain how you're alive.

Scott: Oh sorry Melissa this is a friend and former Ranger Jason Lee Scott. I believe you already know my Aunt.

Jason: Yes, it's been a while Mrs. Hart.

Mrs. Hart: You are looking well Jason. Well, let's go into the Living Room.

The four walked in and Scott explained to his astonished Sister and Aunt the story of his disappearance and subsequent return.

Melissa: That is some story and this Billy fellow didn't tell any of your friends that you were alive.

Scott: No, Zordon felt if it was known that I was alive and well, but in a vulnerable state that Zedd and Mondo could take advantage of that. You see although the amnesia robbed me of my memories I still had my skill.

Mrs. Hart: So Jason you were also a Ranger.

Jason: Yes, I was a member of the original team alongside Kimberly and Billy. I passed my powers to someone else when I went to the Peace Conference and later when I came home Tommy came to get me and take some powers so they wouldn't be lost and I became the Gold Zeo Ranger although that didn't last too long.

Melissa: This is so unbelievable I still can't believe my Brother is a Power Ranger and all his friends are as well.

Scott: It is to me as well. Sometimes I wonder if this is all just a very weird dream.

Rito: This isn't a dream Ranger it's a nightmare.

Jason: Rito.

Rito: And company.

Out of nowhere a group of Cogs appeared.

Scott: Jason get my Sister and Aunt out of here I'll take care of Rito and the Cogs.

Jason: Good luck.

Scott: It's Morphing Time.

At his command the two Zeonisers appeared on his wrists and with that he brought them together.

Scott: Zeo Ranger VII. White.

With that he was transformed into the White Zeo Ranger and he charged after the Cogs who had now headed into the street. As the three went to one of the windows to watch the fight.

Melissa: Man Scott is tearing those metal things apart. It's almost as though he's so focused he's letting all his anger out on them.

Jason: I was hoping it was just me that had noticed it.

Melissa: You saw the look before he morphed.

Jason: Yeah, I'll tell you I have never been scared of anyone before and when I saw the look in Scott's eyes I was afraid.

Melissa: I know what you mean. I've seen when he's upset, happy or angry and I've never seen him like this, so totally over the edge. Do you think it was what happened to him in those seven months.

Jason: I'd say that were a safe bet. I mean he had been through a lot as a Ranger before his disappearance and from what Billy told me it seemed to drive him closer to the edge and this may have sent him over. I think everyone was kidding themselves if they thought he would be okay straight away.

Even as they finished the conversation and returned to watching the fight they saw that almost all the Cogs had been destroyed and Scott was now facing off against Rito.

Scott: Why don't you surrender Rito? Make it easier on yourself.

Rito: Oh I am so scared. What are you going to do take me apart.

Scott: That's what I'm exactly going to do. When I'm through they'll need a magnifying glass to find all the parts of your bones.

Rito stopped and looked at him for a second and then he charged towards the White Ranger who reacted instantly bringing his knee straight up and into the chest of Rito and then slammed his hand to the back of Rito's neck sending the bag of bones to the floor in a crumpled heap.

Scott: Give up or are you thirsty for more.

Rito picked himself up from the ground and deciding that he didn't want to continue the fight against this possessed Ranger and disappeared.

Scott: So much for the great Rito.

Scott then laughed and it was not a pleasant laugh. With that he stepped back into the house and with no-one watching powered down.

Jason: Nice work.

Scott: Thanks those metallic morons had it coming and so did Rito.

Jason: Come on I think we should get back to Angel Grove Zordon may need us.

Scott: I guess you're right. Look Melissa I'll come and visit you properly as soon as I can.

Melissa: I can hardly wait.

Scott: There is no need to be sarcastic.

Melissa: Okay, now you take care of your self.

Scott: I will. Let's go Jason.

With that they were gone. Back on the moon Rito had returned with the remaining Cogs to an extremely loud reception.

Zedd: You moron, there was only one Ranger and still you couldn't defeat him.

Rito: Well, you see it was like this Ed.

Zedd: That is Zedd you bag of bones.

Rito: Sorry, but he was fighting like a man possessed.

Zedd: Interesting so Scott Crane is having some troubles.

Rito: I didn't say he was having troubles, I said he was fighting like a man possessed.

A glance from Rita silenced him.

Zedd: This is perfect it would seem the White Ranger may have been mentally scarred by his experience in our dungeon.

Mondo: Indeed and we can use this to destroy him. Klank get in here.

At his command Klank walked into the room and behind him floated Orbus.

Klank: You called Ye Majesty.

Mondo: I did. Now is the monster I asked for ready.

Orbus: He is already to roll.

Rita: What monster is this?

Mondo: I have had Klank create a monster that will attack the White Ranger, but not in the physical sense. Instead it will attack his mind and destroy his already fragile mental state.

Zedd: Yes, and once that is done he will be no use to Zordon, but we will use him. After all I hate to see a perfectly good fighter go to waste.

Mondo: Excellent the Mind Destroyer will destroy Scott Crane's mind and then we shall use his body to destroy the rest.

Klank: A brilliant plan King Mondo.

Machina: Indeed my husband those dreadful teens are sure to be destroyed.

Mondo: Yes, they are. Now Mind Destroyer get down there.

With that the Monster was gone down to Earth and a confrontation with the White Ranger. Following their departure from Paris Scott and Jason had made a brief stop at the Power Chamber to check if there was any trouble. When Zordon had said there was none they had returned to the park.

Scott: Come on Jason we're going to be late to meet the gang.

Jason: Don't be so impatient Scott we have plenty of time.

Scott: When you lose seven months of your life it kind of puts a new perspective on things. It makes you realise what is important.

Jason: So have you figured out what's important.

Scott: That's for me to know and you to find out.

Jason laughed and then the two continued to walk when a bolt of light appeared in front of them and a monster came out of it.

Mind: I'm here for the White Ranger.

Scott: You want me, well then here I am.

Mind: Well then prepared to be destroyed.

Scott: Jason get back to the Power Chamber.

Jason: Be careful.

Scott: Why does everyone keep saying that?

With that Jason was gone.

Mind: Okay let's see what you've got.

Scott: If you insist. It's Morphing Time.

Scott: Zeo Ranger VII. White.

Mind: That will not stop me.

Scott launched himself towards the monster only for the monster to send him backwards. Scott was up immediately and started to attack again when a beam emanated from the monster and struck Scott in the helmet.

Mind: Now let's do a little poking around.

As the Mind Destroyer probed Scott's mind he found the appropriate areas and intensified his feelings. Scott crumpled to the floor and as the mental assault continued he was vaguely aware of the other Ranger's teleporting in and knocking the monster away.

Kat: Leave him alone.

Mind: Why not after all I've done what I was supposed to do.

With that he was gone leaving the other Ranger's baffled.

Justin: What was that all about?

Tommy: I don't know, but I think we should get Scott back to the Power Chamber and have Alpha check him out.

Scott: Okay let's go.

The Seven teleported out and moments later appeared inside the Power Chamber to the concerned faces of Jason, Kim, Alpha and Zordon.

Kat: Alpha can you check Scott out. The monster struck him with some kind of beam.

Alpha: Sure Kat. Now hold still Scott this won't hurt a bit.

Scott: Don't come anywhere near me you walking junk pile.

Adam: What!!!

Scott: You heard me stay away from you stupid bucket of bolts.

Alpha: Ay, Yi. Yi. Yi. Scott I just want to help.

As he said the little droid held out the scanner and started to scan Scott when out of nowhere his hand came out and smashed the scanner out of his hand and it went flying across the floor of the Chamber. Before anyone could stop him he had touched his teleporter and vanished leaving the other's in stunned silence.

Justin: What was that all about?

Beside him Billy shook his head.

Billy: I've have no idea, but I can tell you it probably has something to do with that monster.

Zordon: I agree Billy, my analysis of this particular monster indicates that he attacks the mind and locks onto an event that may have been painful and intensified his feelings.

Tommy: So this monster has found an event in Scott's life and intensified his feelings to it.

Tanya: It's not hard to guess which event the monster used and what Scott's feelings are towards it.

Adam: What can we do to help him?

Zordon: I am not sure, but destroying the monster may help. For the moment I suggest you just keep an eye on Scott and try and help him.

Kat: Let's get back to Angel Grove and find him.

Tommy: Agreed let's go guys.

With that the eight were gone leaving a worried Zordon and Alpha alone. Five minutes later the Rangers returned to the Youth Centre and much to their dismay found Scott was not there. However as they entered both Bulk and Skull looked up and walked towards them.

Bulk: Hey guys what's up?

Billy: Have either of you two see Scott?

Skull: Not since Yesterday why?

Adam: To cut a long story short. He is under a spell that seems to have magnified his feelings to a certain event.

Bulk: Well, if we see him we'll contact you. Come on Skull, Detective Stone is waiting for us.

The two former bullies hurried off leaving the Ranger's alone.

Jason: I still can't believe it. Those two know who we are and can also help us if we need it.

Billy: Well, nothing ever stays the same.

Tommy: Let's split up and look for him.

Tanya: Okay, but let's keep in touch.

Billy: Meet back here in thirty minutes.

The other's nodded and started to walk off. As they did Kat suddenly remembered where Scott was likely to be. Running off Kat found her way to the park and made her way to the spot which Scott had shown her shortly after the incident with the Destroyer. She remembered the last time she had been here. She had just been released from hospital and she had come here to find some peace. Even as she thought about it she found her hand going to the scar on her throat. Dropping her arm to the side she walked into sight of the clearing and there he was sat looking out onto the lake. Calling out his name she walked into the clearing and waited for him to respond. When he didn't she placed her hand on his shoulder and again said his name.

Kat: Scott.

At this he did turn and when he saw her he smiled.

Scott: Hey, knew you'd be the one to find me.

Kat: I knew you would be here.

Scott: I guess everyone thinks I'm a complete idiot for acting like that.

Kat: No-one thinks that. They all know what strain you've been under.

Suddenly Scott stiffened and looked away. When he looked back his face was expressionless and so was his voice.

Scott: They don't know what strain I've been under, how could they. They didn't spend two months in dungeon being tortured all day and then left alone all night hoping that your friends would rescue you. I waited for days for you to come, but you never did. After a week or so I realised you either thought I was dead or didn't care enough to try and rescue me.

Kat: Scott that's not true. After we returned to the Power Chamber and Zordon told us that your energy readings had vanished and the only trace we had of you was a destroyed morpher. We begged Zordon to allow us to come back to the planet and look for you. Just in case you were still alive. We searched the Castle from Top to Bottom and we found nothing. After that we scoured the entire planet, just in case they had another base. We didn't find anything except for a scrap of your shirt which had some of your blood. We never gave up until we found that and then we knew or so we thought you were dead.

Scott: A nice story Katherine, but it's a little too late. Take this to the rest of the Rangers. Stay away from me and don't interfere in my life or else.

With that he was gone leaving Kat to sit on the ground shivering, but with nothing that had to do with the cold. Realising her thirty minutes were up she stood up and returned to the Youth Centre and related the story to the rest of the Ranger's.

Kat: It was like talking to a complete stranger. I have never seen Scott like that before.

Tommy: Look let's give him some space and time and hopefully he'll calm down.

The other's all reluctantly nodded and went off to return to what they had been doing before Zordon had contacted them. As she was walking Kim noticed a look on Kat's face that troubled her and she called out.

Kim: Kat are you okay?

Kat: Not really, look you have to promise what I tell you goes no further.

Kim: Of course.

Kat: When I found Scott and we started talking I looked into his eyes and I suddenly I realised I was afraid.

Kim: Afraid of Scott!!!

Kat: Yes can you believe it. I looked into his eyes and I saw something that scared me.

Kim: Look it was probably your imagination. I mean we're all so worried about him that we're probably imagining things.

Kat: I hope so.

Kim: Things will work themselves out.

Kat nodded and then two moved quicker to catch up with the others. Some hours later Scott knocked on Kat's door and she opened it and smiled when she saw who it was.

Kat: Scott what a surprise, come in.

Stepping in she ushered him into the living room.

Scott: So how was the rest of your day?

Kat: It was okay, but how about you?

Scott: Nothing much. Look there is something I really need to ask you?

At that she saw the serious expression on his face and then she spoke.

Kat: What did you want to know?

Scott: I want to know how you got that scar and I don't want any excuses.

Kat: I guess you would have found out eventually. A few days after your funeral I attempted suicide.

As she said that there was stunned silence from Scott who then opened his mouth only for no words to come out. Then his expression changed and Kat felt herself move back.

Scott: Does everyone know about this?

Kat: Yes, everyone does.

Scott: How could he? Adam is supposed to my best friend I've told him thing's that I haven't told the other's or you.

Kat: He didn't tell you because it was my responsibility.

Scott: Maybe so but he should have told me.

With that he was gone and Kat had no doubt as to where he was heading. Kat quickly dived for the phone and dialled Adam's number only to receive no reply. Dialling the number of the Juice Bar she waited for Ernie to answer.

Ernie: Juice Bar. Can I help you?

Kat: Ernie it's Kat. Is Adam there?

Ernie: Yeah do you want me to get him for you.

Kat: No just tell him Scott knows and is looking for him.

Ernie: Will do.

With that she put the phone down and grabbing her keys was out of the house so quickly she nearly bowled over her parents.

At the Youth Centre Scott entered and found the object of his search. As he made his way towards him a figure in red stepped in front of him.

Tommy: Scott perhaps you should calm down.

Without warning Scott simply shoved Tommy backward and he fell into Justin who was stood nearby. Then he walked a few more steps and looked at Adam.

Scott: So Little Brother why didn't you tell me?

Adam: Because I knew you would react just like this.

Scott: This isn't a reaction Adam. This is.

Out of nowhere his arms came up and he slammed a closed fist into Adam's chest and then knocked him to the floor and was upon him striking him with no finesse or skill, just brute force. Then he felt his right arm being grabbed. Without thinking he pulled free and slammed his fist backwards.

A short scream followed and Scott turned to see Kat sat on the floor clutching her face. Horrified Scott pulled himself to his feet and with one last look at Kat he bolted for the door. Scott didn't know where he was running to and he didn't care. All he could think was that he had hit Kat.

Trey: What happened next?

With a start Scott looked up he had completely forgotten he was telling the story of how he had come to be on Triforia to Trey.

Scott: I just ran and ran until I stumbled and fell. The next thing I remember was.

Kat: Scott please wait.

Hesitating Scott turned and looked at his shoes. As he did so he felt Kat's gaze on him and he resisted looking at her.

Kat: Scott look at me please.

At the pleading in her voice he looked up and then looked away as he saw the fist shaped bruise that was starting to appear on her face.

Kat: It wasn't your fault.

Scott: It was, I should never have lost it like that after you told me about attempting suicide. I bet Adam doesn't want anything to do with me. Heck I don't want anything to do with me. I'm not fit to be the White Ranger.

Kat: That's not true, Adam is still your friend and he knows you're going through a period of adjustment.

Scott: You mean I'm going nuts.

Kat: No, you're just trying to put a difficult time behind you and you'll get through it just like Adam and I did after your death.

Scott: You mean Adam's taking drugs.

Kat: What... how did you know?

Scott: Kim told me, I mean he's my friend and I should know things like that. Look you should leave before I hit you again.

Kat: I don't believe you would ever do so intentionally.

Scott: I know, but until I get my head together I'm not safe to be around.

Kat: I'll go, but remember I love you and nothing will ever change that.

Then she was gone leaving Scott buried deep within his own thoughts. He was so deep in thought that he did not even here the beep of his communicator and then without warning he felt himself being teleported.

Scott: Zordon what's going on? Why did you teleport me here?

Zordon: I have been monitoring you and I believe I have a solution to your problem. Please observe the Viewing Globe.

Scott turned around and saw Trey appearing on the globe.

Scott: Hello Trey.

Trey: Scott. Zordon told me of your problem and I have a solution. On Triforia a teenager goes through a ritual of mental and physical exercises that are to prepare them for adulthood.

Scott: And you think these will help me.

Trey: It might. As you say on your planet there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Scott: Okay I accept. I'll be there soon.

Trey: I await your arrival.

With that the transmission ended leaving a blank globe.

Scott: Zordon I don't want you to tell the other Ranger's about this.

Zordon: As you wish Scott, but they are your friends.

Scott: I know...

Before he could continue the alarm went off.

Alpha: Ay, Yi. Yi. Yi. The Mind Destroyer has reappeared in the park.

Scott: I'm on it. Alpha contact the other's have them meet me there.

Alpha: I'll do it right away.

Scott: It's Morphing Time.

With a shake of his wrists his Zeoniser appeared and bringing them together he was transformed into the White Zeo Ranger and he was gone.

Moments later he reappeared in the park.

Scott: Okay Mind Destroyer hold it right there.

Mind: So White Ranger you think you can stop me by yourself.

Kat: Who said he was by himself.

The monster and Scott both turned to see the other Ranger's stood a few metres behind him.

Scott: Good timing guys.

Adam: You didn't think we'd abandon you again did you.

Scott: Never crossed my mind.

Mind: If you two are quite finished with your nice little chat. We have a fight to attend to.

On the moon Zedd and Mondo watched with interest.

Mondo: I think it's time to up the stake's. Cog's get down there and destroy the Gold and White Rangers. Klank and Orbus give our monster a little height advantage.

Klank: Right away your Majesty.

With that they were gone. On the ground the Ranger's continued the fight with the Mind Destroyer when the two appeared.

Justin: Guy's look it's Klank and Orbus.

Without further ado Klank picked up Orbus and flung him at the Mind Destroyer whom moment's later grew in size.

Scott: Oh terrific our problems just got bigger.

Mind: Now I can destroy all the minds in this city and there is nothing you can do about it.

Tommy: Oh yeah. Let's do it guys.

Out of nowhere the Cogs appeared.

Scott: Billy and I will take care of these guys. Call on your Zords.

Tommy nodded and the five moved to another point and then.

All: We need Zeo Zord power now.

At the command the Zord's computer's were activated and the five left the holding bay. Once the five Ranger's were onboard Tommy spoke.

Tommy: Okay guys let's go straight to the Megazord.

The other's acknowledged and the transformation began and in seconds were there was once five Zords there was now one.

All: Zeo Megazord power up.

The transformation completed the Zeo Megazord went into battle.

On the ground Billy and Scott attacked the Cogs. It was at that point Scott paused in his story.

Trey: Scott please continue.

Scott: There is nothing much left to tell. We finished off the Cogs and then Billy called for Pryamida's and they formed the Ultrazord and destroyed the monster.

Trey: What then?

Scott: I did the hardest thing I have ever done.

At the Power Chamber.

Scott: Well, Zordon I'm ready to go, however there is one more thing I have to do.

Alpha: What's that Scott?

Scott: Give my powers to someone else. I can't leave you a Ranger short.

Zordon: A wise decision Scott. Whom did you have in mind?

Scott didn't reply instead he touched the teleport controls and in a flash of grey light Jason appeared.

Jason: What the... Zordon why did you bring me here?

Scott: He didn't. I did.

Jason: Why?

Scott: I have an important request to make of you. I want you to take over as White Ranger.

Jason opened his mouth and then closed it again.

Scott: It's a simple question. Yes or No.

Jason: Why?

Scott: I'm going to Triforia.

Jason: Again Why?

Scott: You saw what happened in the Youth Centre. I'm a danger to everyone around me until I get myself together.

Jason: Very well I accept, but only until you're ready to take them back.

With that Scott hand the Zeonisers to Jason and with a flash of light the power was transferred.

Scott: I'd better get going. Tell Kat goodbye for me.

Jason: Sure man. Take care Scott.

With that he was gone. That was three weeks ago. Since then Scott has participated in various mental exercise's and much to his irritation repeatedly told the story of how he came to be here.

Trey: Thank you Scott. I shall see you in the morning.

With a nod Trey was gone. Scott stood up and looked out and into the night sky. He stood there for up to an hour when there was a knock at his door.

Scott: Yes Trey.

Trey: There is a visitor here to see you.

Scott: Thanks Trey send her in.

A look of surprise crossed his face, but he merely turned on his heel and left the room. Moment's later Kat entered the room. For many minutes Scott merely stood there saying nothing and then he turned around.

Scott: Hello Kat.

Kat: Scott.

Scott: I've missed you.

A flash of anger crossed her face and then she spoke.

Kat: If that was the case you should never have left.

Scott: I had to. Do you know how much it hurt me to see you with that bruise.

Kat: It's wasn't your fault.

Scott: It was. I hit you.

Kat: Get over it Scott. All you're really doing is running away.

Scott: I'm not running away.

Kat gave a bitter laugh and then she was out of the door. Without hesitation Scott followed.

Scott: Kat wait.

Kat: Why so you can tell me more reasons why you're running away. Do you want to know why you're running away. It's because you're scared.

Scott: Scared of what!!!

Kat: Facing the future. You're terrified of living for the moment and for the future. You dwell on the past and don't try and put it behind you.

Scott: I've tried, but what happened to me is too painful to forget, but I've realised recently that I have to try.

Kat: What are you saying?

Scott: A few years ago I got into trouble with the Police and my Father told me that what I had done was make a terrible mistake. But it was the past and should always learn from past experience and build on your mistake and go into the future.

Kat: Your Father sounds like a wise man.

Scott: He was.

Kat: So what did you do?

Scott looked at her and then walking over to her he took her into a hug and leaned closer to her.

Scott: I'm not telling.

Kat: So you're going to come home.

Scott: Yes, just let me say goodbye to Trey.

Kat nodded and within thirty minutes they were ready.

Scott: Thank you Trey, for everything.

Trey: You are welcome. Take care both of you.

Kat: We will.

Scott: Let's go home.

With that the two were gone and some minutes later they were back in the Power Chamber were Jason was waiting for them.

Jason: Hey guy's welcome back.

Scott: It's good to be home.

Jason: Guess you want these back.

It was then that Scott noticed Jason was holding the Zeoniser's in his hands. Holding them out Scott took them and placed them back upon his wrists. With a flash of white the White Zeo Powers were again Scott's.

Zordon: Now that has been dealt with. There is another matter of much importance to be resolved.

Scott: What's that Zordon?

Zordon: As soon as the other's arrive I shall explain.

As it turns out they didn't have long to wait for the other's.

Zordon: Welcome Ranger's. As you know Tommy has served as the leader of the Rangers for a while now. I have discussed this with Tommy and have decided it is time for a new leader.

Justin: Who Zordon?

The Ranger's followed Zordon's gaze and watched as it settled on.

Scott: Me!!!

Tommy: Yes, you've proven many times that you can lead the team.

Scott: What about Billy?

Billy: Oh no. I maybe the longest serving member of the team, but I'm not a leader.

Scott: Why do I get the feeling I don't have a choice on the matter?

Tommy: You don't.

Scott: Very well Zordon I accept. I won't let you down.

Zordon: I know you won't Scott.

Scott: Tommy I'll be dependent on your experience as leader.

Tommy: I'll be glad to help.

Tanya: Let's do it.
