"I'm not programmed to remember such things," Astronema replied. "So long.....brother!"
She fired a blast from her staff and disappeared. Andros sighed, then teleported back to the Megaship. Little did they know that Darkonda was spying on them from the bushes.
"She's getting on his nerves," he said as he came out of hiding. "The brother and sister are torn apart! Perfect! Absolutely perfect!!"
He began laughing menacingly.
"Darkonda!" a female voice called.
Darkonda spun around, startled. "Tonfa Spice!"
Jenny approached her husband, smiling. "You're yelling loud enough to wake the dead."
"I'm glad you came, my love," Darkonda said. "I'm feeling a little bored. Care to join me for a battle?"
"Oh boy....okay."
They both drew a sword and faced each other.
"Okay, we're going to have to keep this short," Jenny said. "A woman's work is never done."
"Understood. Let's go for the gold!"
Their swords clashed once and held the position. Then Darkonda kicked Jenny at the side of her body. Jenny pushed his sword away, then kicked his chest. Darkonda staggered back, groaning in pain. Jenny gasped.
"Did that hurt?" she asked.
"No, not at all," Darkonda said. "I'm just getting started. Come and get me."
So Jenny ran at Darkonda, but he gave her a side kick to the stomach. In response, she swung her sword at him, but Darkonda rolled away, then did a few backward handsprings. Surprisingly, Jenny didn't move. When Darkonda stopped, he was definitely surprised.
"Come on!" he cried. "You're supposed to come after me!"
Jenny giggled. "Well.....pardon my ignorance."
"Let's go, my dear, be more aggressive."
"I can do that."
Jenny moved in with a sword strike, but Darkonda disappeared, then reappeared behind her. While Jenny was wondering where he went, Darkonda moved in and through his arm over her shoulder, pinning her against him with his sword.
"I think you and I should get a lot closer, don't you?" he asked.
"What are you doing!?" Jenny cried, noticing the yellow energy flashing around them.
She felt her body being drawn into Darkonda's. Eventually, they did merge into one creature, with physical features of both warriors in different places.
"Yes!" Darkonda's voice yelled. "Now we're REALLY close!!!"
Suddenly, he grabbed his head and screamed as more yellow energy surrounded him. Then, they both split into their normal forms, falling to the ground together. Jenny felt cramps throughout her body.
"That was not possible!" Darkonda cried. "How did you do that!?"
Jenny stood up, still groaning in pain. "Darkonda, there's something you should understand. This is my body. No one uses it but me. You have your own body......a fine body, I might add. Use it well."
Suddenly, T.J.'s voice came on Jenny's ring. "Jenny, we're picking up a faint reading at the warehouse district. Meet us there."
"Okay," Jenny responded. "Well.....duty calls. Gotta go...."
"Until next time!" Darkonda called.
"C.C., what happened?" Carlos asked.
C.C. gasped. "The Psycho Rangers!!"
The other Spices saw them, too.
"Wow!" Jenny cried. "You look so cute when you're all see-through!"
"Who are you talking to?" T.J. asked.
"Psycho Rangers. Can't you see them?" Jenny asked.
"I don't see anything," Cassie said.
The Psycho Rangers tried to attack, but their moves went right through the heroes. Jenny giggled as she moved closer to Psycho Red.
"Wouldn't you like to touch me!" she teased. "But you have a little problem; you're missing the most important part. You're missing the body. It's the most important part of you. Too bad you couldn't come back as zombies, like we did."
T.J. took her by the shoulders. "I think we'd better get you checked out at the ship."
"Wait a minute; we don't need to be checked!" Jenny said. "We see the Psychos because we're dead. They're invisible to the eyes of the living."
"We can't touch `em!" Psycho Red cried. "The Rangers can't see us! We're ghosts!"
"You got that right," Jenny said. "Why don't you go haunt a house or something so that we can finish our mission in peace."
"Very funny," Psycho Red snapped.
The Psychos flew into the air.
"Hey, where're you going, you losers!?" the Cryptkeeper shouted.
"Come on; we're wasting our time," Andros said.
So they teleported back to the ship.
"Come on, Sis; let's go get a sodi!" Hallie cried.
"Sure, we'll go get a `sodi,'" Jenny replied.
The sisters got up and headed towards the soda machines located at the building next door. However, they saw some people apparently running from something. Then they saw a monster chasing them. It fired a beam at the people, which caused them to vanish. Jenny and Hallie stared at the monster, then glanced at each other.
"Yikes!" they cried in unison as they turned and ran.
The monster fired its beam at them, and they disappeared.
"I dunno. Let's look for `em."
So they all got up and started looking for the sisters......
"Hallie?" Jenny cried.
"I'm here," Hallie said. "But where is here?"
"I have no idea."
Suddenly, Quantrons ran into the open and began to round up the people. Ecliptor also stepped out.
"Candyman!" Hallie cried.
"Invisible women!" Jenny cried, grabbing her sister's wrist and running around the building.
"Welcome to Secret City! You are now subjects of Astronema, Princess of Darkness!" Ecliptor announced to the people.
"Now what do we do?" Hallie asked.
"Let's see if our rings still work." Jenny opened up her ring. "Hello? Anyone there? Does anyone out there read me?"
Nothing.
"Guess not," Hallie said.
"Wow. This is the first time this has happened," Jenny admitted.
The sisters stood, trying to think of a reasonable solution.....
"Pssst!" Jenny called, trying to get their attention.
They didn't hear her. So Jenny gave a whistle.
"Hey, there's Jenny and Hallie!" the Cryptkeeper cried.
The group rushed over to the sisters.
"You guys okay?" Carlos asked.
"Yeah. We're still trying to figure out where we are," Jenny told him.
"Boy, are we glad that you guys are here!" Hallie cried.
"Well, nothing happened," the Cryptkeeper said. "We were just looking for you guys, then all of a sudden.....you know....."
"Yeah, we know," Jenny said. "So, where are we, and how do we get out of here?"
"Beats me."
"Let's split up and see what we can find," Andros suggested.
They split up into several groups. Jenny and Hallie checked into the tower. As they walked down the hall, they came to a locked door. Jenny knocked on the door with the "Shave and a Haircut" rhythm. The sisters shrugged and started to walk away, but the door opened by itself.
"Weird. Talk about `Open Sesame,'" Hallie said.
"Yeah," Jenny agreed.
They stepped inside the room, but it appeared to be empty. The only thing in the room was a machine hanging from the ceiling that was pointed down to the center of the room. Suddenly, the machine lowered a little and began to glow, making a humming noise.
"Uh, sis....." Hallie stammered. "Maybe we oughtta get out of here."
"Good idea," Jenny agreed.
They started out of the room, but the machine fired some kind of beam. Hallie was out of its range, but Jenny was caught in the beam. Her body seemed to lock in place as her lower body began to fade.
"Oh no!" Hallie cried, pulling out one of her swords. "I'll get you out!"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," a voice called.
Hallie turned in the direction of the voice. "Huh? Mom!"
"If you destroy that machine, then you'll destroy your sister as well," Astronema told her.
Hallie lowered her weapon. "Aw man.....I can't risk that!" She opened up her ring and spoke. "Guys, we need help in the tower!"
Several minutes later, the others came into the room. Jenny's body was completely evaporated by the beam. Astronema pulled out a transparent green disk from the slot.
"This is what's left of Tonfa Spice now," she announced. "She's nothing but a data card."
Unnoticeable to Astronema, the data card flashed for a brief second and a pink light came out of it. It zigzagged across the room for several seconds, then suddenly slammed into the floor. The light grew larger and began to take shape to form Jenny, who was now see-through. She was a ghost! The other Spices gasped, but Jenny held her index finger to her mouth to shush them.
"Now I can do whatever I want undetected," she said. "I've got to get my body back, but I can't do much like this."
Hallie glanced at Astronema and smiled, then turned back to her sister. Jenny also looked at Astronema.
"Hallie, you're a genius!"
Before she could make a move, Astronema pressed a button and the other Spices and Rangers were transformed into data cards. Jenny raced through the wall into the room where Astronema and Ecliptor were standing. As Astronema pulled out the data cards, Jenny's spirit plunged into her body. Astronema responded as if she'd been punched in the stomach. Her eyes widened as she let out a breath.
"Are you all right, my princess?" Ecliptor asked.
Astronema smiled and looked at him. "Fine," she said flatly. "Guard these with your life."
She walked out of the room only to ponder about how to help her pals.
Meanwhile, the Psycho Ranger spirits entered the room.
"We've got to restore the Rangers so that we can finish them off!" Psycho Red cried.
"I have an idea. Follow my lead," Psycho Yellow said.
The spirits raced into the computers and appeared in the beam room as their live selves.
"It worked!" Psycho Red called. "We're not ghosts anymore!"
The Psychos went around and entered the next room.
"Psycho Rangers!?" Ecliptor cried.
"Did you miss us, Ecliptor?" Psycho Red asked.
"Get out!" Ecliptor fired a blast at the Psychos, but Psycho Red reflected the blast, which exploded in Ecliptor's chest. Ecliptor dropped the cards and Psycho Red picked them up.
"Did you drop something?"
"But how do we know that those are the Rangers?" Psycho Blue asked.
"Only one way." Psycho Red inserted the first five cards into the machine and made the calculation adjustments. Soon, the cards were transformed back into their original form: Jenny, the Cryptkeeper, Spinal, Earl, and Ruth. Once they were completely normal, Jenny instantly fell to the floor. The others kneeled over her.
"Jenny, wake up!" Ruth cried. "What's happening?"
"Her spirit is still up and running about, remember?" the Cryptkeeper explained. "She'd better get back here soon."
"Those aren't the Rangers!" Psycho Pink cried. "Now what do we do?"
"We finish them off!" Psycho Red replied. "That way, they won't interfere when we do find the Rangers."
They charged into the room. The Spices gasped.
"What do you guys want?" the Cryptkeeper demanded.
"Just to destroy you," Psycho Red said.
"We'll see about that!"
The four Spices ran into battle again. Psycho Red pulled out his sword and advanced on Jenny's dead body.
"You were right, Tonfa Spice," he said. "The body is important. Too bad you won't have one anymore."
"Jenny, you'd better come get your body before Psycho Red destroys it!" C.K. called.
Jenny, still in Astronema's body, gasped. "Oh shit....." She raced into the control room and looked through the window to see Psycho Red preparing to mutilate her body. Jenny's spirit exploded out of Astronema's body and dove into her own. Psycho Red brought his sword down; Jenny's eyes opened suddenly, and she rolled out of the way.
"Destroy my body, will you? I think not." Jenny ran her palms down either side of her body. Psycho Red stared in confusion. Jenny approached him and ran her hands up his chest. "Aren't you proud to have a body, Psycho Red?"
Psycho Red paused for a moment. "Yes. I'm proud that I am no longer a ghost so that I can destroy you."
Jenny only giggled as she wrapped one arm around him and put her other fingers where his mouth would be. "Oh, admit it; this feels good, doesn't it?"
Psycho Red said nothing. Suddenly, he shoved Jenny away, then went at her with a punch. She blocked it, then moved behind him, pinning his wrist in a hammerlock.
"Wow, you are strong!" she gushed. "You know.....is this any way to treat a lady?"
"Yeah, show me a lady," Psycho Red snapped.
"Oooh....." Jenny was mildly shocked by his remark. She started giggling happily. Psycho Red threw her over his shoulder. Jenny quickly stood up as Psycho Red charged at her again. She threw a well-timed kick, catching the Psycho Ranger in the face and knocking him down. Jenny giggled again like a playful child. She realized that she had to restore the others, so she jumped through the window to the control room. She dug up all the data cards and inserted them into the machine. Eventually, all the Rangers and Spices were restored in their rightful form. Then she went back into battle.
Hallie and Kathy then went to the controls and pressed buttons randomly.
"Be careful, Hallie!" Kathy cried. "You don't want to turn your own sister into a data card again.
"Don't worry," Hallie said. "I got it in the bag."
But after she pressed several more buttons, the entire terminal began to spark.
"Uh-oh, now you've done it......" Kathy began.
The fighters in the other room were startled as an alarm suddenly blared. The machine above them began to malfunction.
"What? What's happening?" Psycho Red gasped.
"This whole place is gonna blow!" Kathy cried.
"Run for it, guys!" Hallie screamed to the fighters.
Spinal looked up at the flaming machine. "Yikes! I like that idea!"
"We're out of here!" Jenny announced.
The Rangers and Spices raced out of the room. The Psychos followed. The fighters raced down the hall where they reached a window overlooking an ocean. The Spices and Rangers wasted no time in jumping out into, but Spinal stopped. He didn't like water; he couldn't swim, even if he knew how. Since he was nothing but bone, he had no organs to help him float. He would just sink to the bottom like an anchor. He could, however, walk along the ocean floor, but he was afraid that the sharks or other sea monsters would eat him. Before he could decide on a course of action, the Psycho Rangers seized him. As he struggled, the Psychos laughed.
"This time we've got you for sure!" Psycho Red taunted him.
"What are we going to do with him, Psycho Red?" asked Psycho Black.
"Destroy him! Destroy him!" Psycho Blue chanted.
"No. First we'll use him to get the others," Psycho Red said. "Then we'll destroy them all!"
"Psycho Red, we have to get moving before this place is blown to Kingdom Come!" Psycho Pink cried.
"Right." Psycho Red looked Spinal in the eye. "Let's go for a swim."
"No! Don't!" Spinal screamed as the Psychos dragged him out the window.
Once the Psychos landed in the ocean, they teleported to the shore with their hostage. They hid behind the huge boulders on the beach. They could hear the Rangers and Spices calling for Spinal.
"Spinal!" They spread out and looked around.
"Spinal!" Carlos called. His voice was unusually high. Jenny shot him a look, then burst out laughing.
"What?" Carlos asked with a shrug.
"Oh, Carlos," was all Jenny could managed as they laughed some more.
"Knowing Spinal, he's probably still on the ocean floor," Fulgore suggested.
"Oh, how sweet; they're looking for you," Psycho Yellow gushed.
"So they really do care about you," Psycho Blue added.
Psycho Red held Spinal, holding his jaws closed to keep him from screaming.
"Well, Psychos, let's not disappoint them."
So the Psychos revealed themselves to the heroes.
"Stay back!" Psycho Red ordered. "Spinal belongs to us."
"No way! He's ours!" Fulgore shouted. "Let him go!"
"Make me!"
"Gladly!"
Fulgore fired his eye lasers, hitting Psycho Red's forearm. Psycho Red screamed in pain, released Spinal, and held his arm. Spinal rejoined his friends.
"Thanks, Fulgore," he said.
"No problem, my little friend," Fulgore responded.
The Psychos growled as they stepped forward.
"Now, where were we?" Psycho Red asked.
In response, Jenny, C.K., Spinal, C.C., and Earl simultaneously moved in and each kicked a Psycho Ranger, then stepped back.
"Y'all were losing," Jenny called. "Go back to hell and follow us no more!"
She held out her hand, and a ball of green energy began to form. Once she was satisfied with its size, she hurled it at the Psychos. After engulfing the Psychos, they all turned into data cards. Jenny walked over slowly and picked them up. The other Spices approached her.
"Souvenirs?" the Cryptkeeper asked.
"Yeah."
"What are you going to do with them?" T.J. asked.
"I'm going to add them to our artifact collection," Jenny told him. "Come on, let's go home."
The warriors teleported back to the Megaship.
"Wow......that Secret City was an interesting place," Hallie said. "Kinda scary, though."
"At least we learned a lot about how important our bodies are," Jenny said. "It doesn't matter if you're fat or skinny. Just be glad that you have one."
"It's better than being just a ghost," the Cryptkeeper said. "You can touch anything."
"And anyone," Jenny added. "Now that's what you'd really miss out on if you didn't have a body."
